Overview
A comprehensive strategy workshop system that helps teams transform complex business challenges into structured decisions. Rather than relying on unstructured brainstorming, the system guides participants through a series of collaborative workshops that produce clear, actionable outcomes. It combines strategic frameworks, facilitation methods, educational content and digital product design into a single, scalable experience.
- 22Workshops in the library
- 1Repeatable facilitation structure
- 3Delivery modes: in person, remote, in-product
The challenge
Many strategy workshops generate great conversations but poor outcomes. Processes vary between facilitators, documentation is inconsistent, and valuable insights are often lost after the session.
The challenge was to create a repeatable workshop framework that enables teams to collaborate effectively while producing structured, reusable strategic assets.
Solution
I created an end-to-end workshop methodology covering the entire strategic planning process — from business discovery and market analysis to brand strategy, marketing and execution.
Each workshop follows a consistent structure: objectives, facilitator guidance, collaborative exercises, visual canvases, templates, reflection prompts and documented outputs. The system can be delivered in person, remotely, or integrated into digital collaboration tools.

Design principles
Every workshop is built on the same set of rules:
- Create clarity before making decisions
- Think visually
- Build alignment through collaboration
- Capture every decision
- Turn discussion into action
- Design systems instead of one-off workshops
Design systems instead of one-off workshops.
Workshop template structure
Every workshop in the library is authored against the same seventeen-part template, so a facilitator can pick up any session and run it without re-learning the format:
- 1. Hero — title, description, duration, participants, difficulty, strategic objective and expected outcome
- 2. Overview — the topic, why it matters, where it fits in the strategy process
- 3. Learning objectives — knowledge, skills and decisions participants gain
- 4. When to use — the business situations and project stages it serves best
- 5. Deliverables — artifacts, decisions, canvases and documents produced
- 6. Preparation — participants, materials, required research, pre-work, room or digital setup
- 7. Workshop agenda — timeline of every activity, duration and milestone
- 8. Workshop rules — ground rules for participation, collaboration and decision-making
- 9. Facilitator notes — moderation techniques, common challenges and discussion prompts
- 10. Sequence of activities — each with objective, duration, method, instructions, prompts, facilitator notes and expected output
- 11. Practice worksheets — interactive canvases, templates, scorecards and fill-in forms
- 12. Completed example — a fully worked session showing expected depth and quality
- 13. Best practices — proven techniques for running effective sessions
- 14. Common pitfalls — frequent mistakes, biases and anti-patterns, and how to avoid them
- 15. AI facilitator — prompts for preparing, challenging assumptions and summarising discussion
- 16. Summary & next steps — decisions, actions, ownership, priorities and follow-up workshops
- 17. Related resources — connected workshops, frameworks, templates and further reading
Activity patterns
Activity ten is where the work happens. Each session is assembled from a shared set of activity patterns rather than invented from scratch:
- Introduction
- Icebreaker (optional)
- Individual reflection
- Ideation
- Sharing
- Affinity mapping
- Discussion
- Combining ideas
- Prioritisation & voting
- Decision making
- Review & alignment
- Wrap-up
Deliverables
The system ships as a complete facilitation kit:
- Structured workshop guides
- Facilitator playbooks
- Interactive canvases
- Fill-in templates
- Educational materials
- Strategic frameworks
- Documentation system
- Digital workshop experience
- AI-assisted facilitation concepts
Outcome
The result is a modular workshop ecosystem that helps organisations think more strategically, align stakeholders faster, and convert complex discussions into practical plans.
By standardising facilitation and documentation, the system makes high-quality strategic planning accessible to teams of any size.
